Person carrying guitar faces fine after being caught walking on M6 TWICE in one night

A person carrying a guitar was caught walking on the M6 by police TWICE in the same evening.

The pedestrian was escorted off the motorway by Highways England Officers, after they were alerted by concerned drivers on Monday night.

The person returned to the M6 later in the evening.

They were issued with a Traffic Offence Report by the North West Motorway Police (NWMP) and faces having to pay a fine.

Drivers said they saw the pedestrian near junction 21, for Warrington, around 11.30pm last night (Monday).

Another witness said they saw the person walking near Winwick between 11.45pm and 12am.

A tweet from NWMP said: "A guitar carrying pedestrian was given a TOR after returning to the M6 having previously been walked off by Highways England officers."
