A person has been assaulted in Galashiels sparking a police investigation.
Officers raised the alarm after receiving reports of a disturbance on Melrose Road near to the junction with Hawthorn Road.
They raced to the scene after the horror attack happened between 8:25pm and 8:45pm last night.
Cops have launched a probe into the violent incident.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "We are asking for assistance from the public following an assault that happened on Melrose Road, Galashiels between 8:25PM and 8:45PM on Wednesday 20th May 2020.
"The assault took place on Melrose Road near to the junction with Hawthorn Road, Galashiels.
"Anybody who may information that may be able to assist with our enquiry are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 4015 20th May 2020."
