Perry Ng on what he will bring to Cardiff City as new signing gives first Bluebirds interview

Perry Ng says he's keen to get Cardiff City "back where it belongs", after becoming the club's second signing of the January transfer window.

The right-back completed a move believed to be worth £250,000 on Monday afternoon, signing a three-year deal in the Welsh capital.

His arrival from Crewe Alexandra follows on from the club's £1m capture of Crawley Town's Max Watters, with both men eligible to face Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday night.

The 24-year old potentially solves something of a selection headache for boss Neil Harris, with the club seeing an exodus of right-backs over the last 12 months, with Lee Peltier, Cameron Coxe and Jazz Richards all departing.

Jordi Osei-Tutu was recruited on loan from Arsenal in the summer, but has endured an injury nightmare since sustaining a hamstring tear back in October, forcing Leandro Bacuna to fill in.

Ng could well be thrown into first team action straight away, and he admits he cannot wait to get started, crediting CEO Ken Choo with a big role in bringing him to the club.

"I'm over the moon," he told Cardiff City TV. It's a massive club and a big opportunity for me. I'm looking forward to the step up and I'm excited."

"The CEO worked hard to get me here, which I appreciate a lot. He showed a lot of faith in me, so now I've got to repay him, repay the gaffer and the owner, to play well and hopefully get this club back where it belongs.

"I enjoyed the first session and know a few of the lads which made that easier.

"Now I'm excited to get playing.

"We worked on the match today. It's a winnable game so we just have to work hard and hopefully get the three points."

Ng arrives having captained previous club Crewe Alexandra to League One promotion in 2019/20, but says he won't be one for shouting in the dressing room and that he prefers to do his talking on the pitch.

However, he says that he already feels he is suited to City's style under Harris, as they bid to get their challenge for a top six finish back on track.

"I think the style of play here suits me," he added. "I just can't wait to show it and repay the faith in me.

"I'm not very loud off the pitch but I like to be loud on it! Hopefully I can lead by example on the pitch.

"I like attacking and I like defending as well, so I'll just look to play my normal game."
