Perrie Edwards mam Debbie accidentally 'revealed' her pregnancy in a tweet about Little Mix bandmate Leigh-Anne Pinnock's own baby news
Just days before South Shields singer Perrie announced that she was expecting her first child with footballer boyfriend Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Leigh-Anne took to Instagram to reveal she was pregnant.
The Little Mix star posted stunning pictures of her cradling her baby bump to reveal she and other half Andre Gray were expecting a baby.
And Debbie took to Twitter to congratulate her, with her choice of words strongly hinting that another member of the band was pregnant too.
Sharing Leigh-Anne's pictures, Debbie wrote: "Massive congratulations to Leigh Anne and Andre.. babies on tour xx can’t wait xx"
And it was the choice of 'babies' rather than just 'baby' that landed straight on the radar of Little Mix fans, with one replying: "babies, plural?" and another reacting: "BABIES?! IS PERRIE PREGNANT?"
After their suspicions proved to be correct, one fan returned to Debbie's tweet and commented: "congratulations to you too, Debbie!!!!! i can’t believe our baby girl perrie is having a baby as well...you must be over the MOON !!!!"
Debbie returned to Twitter on Monday to post about Perrie's pregnancy in a tweet which read: "Massive congratulations to my beautiful daughter Perrie and Alexander.. I am bursting with pride ... and cannot wait to see my grandchild."
She then referenced her little slip up last week by adding: "as I said ... Babies on tour lol"
Like Leigh-Anne, Perrie, 27, used Instagram to reveal her pregnancy.
Sharing pictures of her and Liverpool midfielder Alex cradling her baby bump, she wrote: "So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate. Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox"
