Perrie Edwards is reportedly keen on her footballer partner popping the question.
The Little Mix singer and Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain became first-time parents in August when they welcomed baby boy Axel.
And now, an insider has shared how chart-topper Perrie is "hoping" that Alex bends the knee over the festive period.
"Perrie and Alex are very much in love, an engagement is definitely on the cards and could well happen at Christmas,' a source close to the couple told New! magazine.
Revealing how Perrie is sure to say yes, they added: "P errie will definitely be hoping for a ring under the tree. It would be the perfect end to a happy year ."
The couple have been together four and a half years after Perrie started dating England and Liverpool footballer Alex in November 2016 following the high-profile singer's split from fiancé Zayn Malik.
The pair chose to keep their relationship out of the spotlight until the BRITs in February 2017, the same year Little Mix picked up the award for Best British Single for Shout Out To My Ex.
In November last year, the Black Magic singer hinted that she was ready to tie the knot after she heard Joe Wicks describe his own proposal to his wife Rosie.
And engagement rumours were sparked again when an accidental typo of Alex’s name by Perrie left her quipping that the pair could soon be engaged.
She posted: "It'll be way easier to spell when it's my second name and I have to write it all the time!"
But with their new arrival on the way, it would appear any plans for a wedding will have to wait as they prepare for parenthood and are busier than ever with their respective careers.
The pair regularly update their huge following of fans and during lockdown their social feed was flooded with cute shots of them happily living together in a huge Surrey mansion since 2019 and have two dogs and a cat.
On impending fatherhood, Liverpool star Alex jokingly asked: "Anyone got any advice on how to change nappies?
"So grateful and excited to become a dad, bring on the sleepless nights ," he added.
Perrie shared the same black and white photographs to her Instagram as she told her followers: "So happy to be on this wild journey with my soulmate.
"Me + Him = You. We can’t wait to meet you baby Ox!"
