Performance cancelled at Nottingham Theatre Royal due to problem with heating system

A performance has been cancelled at a city centre theatre following a problem with the venue's heating system. Nottingham Theatre Royal and Royal Concert cancelled the opening night performance for the production of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel on Tuesday, February 7.

The performance was due to begin at 7.30pm, and was the first of five performances in the city. The drama production is based on the film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which follows the lives of a group of British retirees finding love, taking risks and embracing second chances in India.

In a Facebook post, Nottingham Theatre Royal and Royal Concert, posted: "Unfortunately, due to an issue with the theatre's heating system tonight’s performance (Tue 7 Feb) of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel has been cancelled. Bookers for tonight’s performance will receive an email with further information shortly. We apologise for the inconvenience."
