'Perfect lineup!' - Excited Arsenal fans react to what Mikel Arteta has done against Tottenham

Arsenal fans have taken to social media to react to Mikel Arteta's team selection for the north London derby against Tottenham.

The Gunners go into the game on the back of a deserved 3-1 win over Olympiacos on Thursday night as they put one foot in the Europa League quarter-final.

And with Arsenal sitting 10th in the Premier League table and 13 points off the top-four, lifting the Europa League trophy in May represents their best chance of playing Champions League football next season.

There is also the added incentive for Arteta 's side to not only avenge the defeat in the reverse fixture against Spurs, but also dent their rivals' hopes of sealing a top-four finish.

In an attempt to get his side back on the winning trail in the Premier League and to avoid losing a third straight game against Spurs, Arteta has kept changes to the side which started against Olympiacos to a minimal

Just the three to be exact.

As expected, the likes of Bernd Leno, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey, David Luiz, and Bukayo Saka are among those who keep their places from last time out.

However, there's no place in the team for captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, vice-captain Hector Bellerin or Willian.

Alexandre Lacazette, Cedric Soares, and Emile Smith Rowe are the beneficiaries from Arteta opting to rotate his team.

Arsenal XI: Leno; Cedric, David Luiz, Gabriel, Tierney; Partey, Xhaka; Saka, Odegaard, Smith Rowe; Lacazette

Most of the reaction from Arsenal supporters on social media has centered around Aubameyang being left on the bench as per disciplinary issues.

Take a look at some of the best responses on Twitter...

@ZakKnowsBall said: "Drop the Striker that has 8 goals in 8 games. Very Smart."

@Haharharry_said: "Good line up. Auba cant be trusted lately."

@TaZRahman7 asked: "Where is @Aubameyang7."
