'Perfect lineup!' - Chelsea fans love what Frank Lampard has done against Crystal Palace

Frank Lampard's team selection for this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace has got a number of Chelsea fans talking.

The Blues go into the game on the back of two wins without a win across all competitions - a 3-3 draw against West Brom as well as a Carabao Cup penalty shootout loss at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.

And with an international break on the horizon, the west London outfit will be keen to get back to winning ways.

With so many options to choose from the question has been how many changes Lampard would make to his line up which started the cup tie against Spurs earlier in the week.

Well, the answer is four.

Out of the side go Fikayo Tomori, Mateo Kovacic, Mason Mount, and Olivier Giroud.

This means a Premier League debut for £22m summer signing Edouard Mendy, while Ben Chilwell also makes his first league outing for the Blues.

Elsewhere there are starts for Callum Hudson-Odoi - amid links to Bayern Munich - Tammy Abraham, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

Chelsea XI: Mendy; Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva, Zouma, Chilwell; Jorginho, Kante; Hudson-Odoi, Havertz, Werner; Abraham

Most of the reaction from Chelsea supporters on social media has centred around the inclusion of Hudson-Odoi in the starting XI.

What Lampard has said

"It's important, as important as every game, I know that's a slightly a cliched answer," Lampard said in his pre-match press conference. "We've gone and won at Brighton, which was a tough game.

"Then we lost to the champions with 10 men for 45 minutes, when it was nil-nil.

"Then at West Brom the first 30 minutes three clear mistakes make goals. Normally you lose those games but we've managed to get a point.
