Fans excited as Carragher rates chances of Brendan Rodgers joining Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd

Brendan Rodgers' managerial stock has risen even higher after the Leicester manager masterminded his side's progress to the Carabao Cup quarter final.

The 3-1 win over Burton Albion in midweek made it 12 goals in two games for Brendan Rodgers' side, after the high-flying Foxes beat Southampton 9-0 at St Mary's last week to break the record for the biggest away win in Premier League history, and move to third in the Premier League.

With Leicester looking well set to challenge for a top four spot this season, Jamie Carragher rated the former Liverpool boss' chances of taking over at another top six club.

"Liverpool is out of the question and Manchester United is too because he was Liverpool manager," Carragher said.

"You look at Arsenal and Chelsea in a few years’ time, whether Frank stays there or not. Rodgers has a link to Chelsea, being in the youth set-up and the reserves. They’re the two jobs you’d look at, maybe international wise as well."

After Leicester's win against Burton, some fans from Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur took to social media to declare their admiration for Rodgers, and urged their side to snap the northern Irishman up.

Both Unai Emery and Mauricio Pochettino have endured difficult starts to the season, with both north London teams struggling for consistency.

And a handful of supporters are starting to believe that the Leicester manager might be a serious contender for their club's next head coach.
