Percy the Park Keeper offering family trail at Speke Hall National Trust this winter

Speke Hall has revealed its new attraction for families to enjoy this upcoming winter.

Families are being invited to join Percy the Park Keeper as he races around the park to get the animals prepared in time for the colder months.

Running from Saturday, December 4 until Sunday, January 30, families will read Percy’s handwritten note before following clues to help find his equipment.

The event, which is suitable for all ages, has activities and games along the way to complete.

At the end of the trail, families can celebrate with a photo-op with Percy and they’ll take home a prize too.

A spokesperson for the National Trust said: "We've created activity trails that'll bring the whole family closer to nature this winter.

"Percy loves spending time outside with his animal friends, just like our staff and volunteers who look after the gardens, parklands and countryside you love.

"But winter is a very busy time and he needs your help to look after nature and wildlife."

The new attraction is in association with best-selling author and illustrator Nick Butterworth and is implemented in 121 National Trust gardens and parklands across the country.

Trail packs are priced at £2 each and should be picked up from visitor reception. There is no need to pre-book.
