The rumors are true: Pepsi Blue is coming back.
For the first time since 2004, the bright blue beverage will be available for purchase in the U.S., the company announced Thursday. Pepsi Blue will be available at stores nationwide by May 3, according to an email from Pepsi.
The berry-flavored soda, first released in 2002, will be sold in 20-ounce bottles and multi-packs while supplies last. It will be available for purchase “everywhere that Pepsi products are sold,” the company said, calling the announcement “a Throwback Thursday for the ages.”

Pepsi said “passionate Pepsi Blue fans have been clamoring for the return of their beloved berry cola” for years.
The company also tweeted about the soda’s upcoming return, which led fans to ask if another discontinued flavor, Crystal Pepsi, might also come back.
In March, the company launched Pepsi Mango, its first new permanent flavored cola in five years.
“Mango is one of the most popular fruits in the world, and it serves as the perfect complement to Pepsi, creating an irresistible combination that our fans can enjoy everywhere throughout the year,” said Todd Kaplan, vice president of marketing at Pepsi.
Ahead of Easter, Pepsi had a limited-edition Peeps-flavored cola but the marshmallow soda was only available via sweepstakes.
