Hector Bellerin, Bernd Leno, Shkodran Mustafi - Latest Arsenal injury news ahead of FA Cup final

Arsenal ended their Premier League on a high with a 3-2 win over Watford last week, but full attention now turns to the FA Cup final on Saturday.

The Gunners face Chelsea in a repeat of 2016/17 at Wembley Stadium, where Arsene Wenger's side shocked the then newly-crowned champions to lift the cup for a record 13th time.

Fast forward to 2020, and Mikel Arteta's side have the chance to lift silverware of their own and earn qualification to the Europa League for next season.

But what state is the Arsenal squad in ahead of the clash on Saturday?

Mikel Arteta targets defender after Shkodran Mustafi injury

Bellerin was left out of the squad against Watford on Sunday as a precaution due to a "tightness in his right calf."

But the club has confirmed that the defender has resumed training with the squad and should be available for selection against Chelsea.

Shkodran Mustafi

Mustafi was substituted with a hamstring injury during the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City and subsequently missed the Gunners' remaining two league games.

Arsenal have now confirmed that the centre-back had a successful operation to his right hamstring and aims to return to full training in October.

Expected return date: October 2020

Calum Chambers

The defender is a long-term casualty after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee in the clash against Chelsea in December 2019.

He underwent successful surgery and has been participating in training sessions outdoors in recent weeks.

In the latest update, the club wrote: "Progressed to the next stage of his recovery and is now running and integrating outside with light ball work.

"Will continue to work hard throughout the new close season period with the aim of being back to full training as soon as possible this calendar year."

Expected return date: N/A

Bernd Leno

Leno suffered a ligament sprain during Brighton last month, and the injury was initially suspected to be a serious one.

But the club have confirmed that the Germany international is now participating in outside running and ball drills, and aims to be back in full training this week.

Expected return date: Beginning of next season

Pablo Mari

Mari suffered a sprain to his ankle ligaments in the league defeat to Manchester City.

Arsenal have confirmed that the centre-back has returned to Spain for a short period, where he continues to receive specialist attention and extensive therapy before returning to the UK in August to resume his rehabilitation.

Expected return date: September 2020

Gabriel Martinelli

Martinelli sustained a serious knee njury during training last month and has undergone surgery.

The striker is currently recovering at Arsenal's training centre every day to receive specialist attention.

Arsenal say that the Brazilian aims to return to full training by the end of the calendar year.

Expected return date: December 2020
