Pep Guardiola warning Jurgen Klopp must listen to ahead of RB Leipzig against Liverpool

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has previously warned over one RB Leipzig player ahead of Liverpool's Champions League clash.

The Reds travel to Budapest on Tuesday evening as they prepare to take on the Bundesliga outfit, who are flying high in second-place in the German top-flight.

Leipzig have a number of attacking threats that Klopp will have to be wary off as he gets his out-of-sorts Liverpool side ready for what should be a really tough European tie.

Despite losing Timo Werner over the summer, Julian Nagelsmann still has the likes of Angelino, Yussuf Poulsen, Emil Forsberg, Christian Nkunku and Marcel Sabitzer at his disposal.

Klopp may have been warned about Leipzig's biggest threat in the past, with Guardiola speaking about former City man Angelino.

The 24-year-old has recently completed a permanent move to Nagelsmann's side after being in tremendous form during his time in Germany.

The Spaniard was once a left-back but his attacking qualities has seen him move further up the pitch into the left wing position and the shift has really paid off.

Angelino has seven goals and seven assists this season in all competitions, more in both categories than any of his Leipzig team-mates.

"We know his quality upfront - in the final third he is so clever, and he is doing good and he played well," Guardiola said back in September 2019.

Nagelsmann put his progress at Leipzig down to Guardiola when the Leipzig manager spoke to the press in October.

"I have to admit, he arrived after working under a great manager,” Nagelsmann said. “I can't just praise myself. He came as a well-developed player.

"We haven't brought many players in from Pep Guardiola, yet, so we can't draw a comparison.

"But his adaption time was minimal, as he arrived from a great team and a great manager, who surely taught him something."

It's likely that Klopp will choose Trent Alexander-Arnold on Tuesday with the Liverpool-born right-back set to have a really difficult task on his hands in keeping tabs with Angelino.
