Pep Guardiola tipped to repeat trademark Man City trick with £100m Jack Grealish

Manchester City have been told Jack Grealish will eventually come good at the Etihad Stadium as he continues to mould into a Pep Guardiola-style player.

Having coasted to a third Premier League title in four seasons, City were convinced to break the nine-figure barrier for Grealish after watching his swashbuckling displays for Aston Villa and England.

It's been a steady start to life in Manchester for the £100million man - in terms of direct goal involvements. From 22 appearances in all competitions, Grealish has only totted-up three goals and three assists.

Statistics are not the only barometer for success, but his contemporaries in attacking quarters - including Raheem Sterling and Phil Foden - have outweighed that return as star-studded City find themselves in pole position for yet another English crown.

They are 11 points clear of second-placed Liverpool after the weekend results having played an additional game.

Asked to share his verdict on Grealish, pundit Tony Cascarino offered light at the end of the tunnel for City.

Cascarino said: "I think he'll learn under Pep and it's going to be the season where he becomes a more experienced, a bit more nous about his game and not the guy that can win a game on his own at times like he did at Villa.

Do you agree with Cascarino? Have your say in the comments section below.

"That's a slow process for anyone that joins Man City. He's not the first... There are a number of others that have had similar experiences, they just don't hit the ground running."
