Pep Guardiola may be fully committed to Manchester City, but he has been tipped to make the move to Serie A in the future.
Guardiola has won nearly every trophy available to him at City, claiming the FA Cup, Carabao Cup and the Premier League with the Champions League just evading his grasp.
The closest City's boss has came to winning the European title with the Sky Blues was on Saturday when they faced Chelsea in the final in Porto.
However, Thomas Tuchel's side defeated City 1-0 thanks to Kai Havertz's first-half goal.
Guardiola will remain in charge next season, with his contract running until 2023, where he will look to claim the elusive trophy and defend the league title.
It isn't just City who have struggled in their bid for Champions League success in recent years, as Italian teams haven't won the trophy since Inter Milan were victorious in 2010 under Jose Mourinho.
And former Chelsea and Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri has suggested Guardiola could move to an Italian club to help end the barren run.
Ranieri told La Gazzetta dello Sport : "We will be back, because I see signs of growth that cannot be obscured by the premature elimination of Italian teams.
"A Serie A that sees the return of [Jose] Mourinho, of [Massimiliano] Allegri and perhaps also [Maurizio] Sarri, will certainly increase the visibility of our entire movement.
"Too bad for [Antonio] Conte, who has left Inter, but I’m convinced Guardiola will sooner or later come to coach in Italy too.
"There’s one thing we must do as soon as possible, however. We must increase the pace of the game. If we don’t do it, it’s difficult to be competitive."
Guardiola's track record at other clubs in Europe would make him a lucrative target if he decides to leave City when his contract runs out.
At Barcelona he won two Champions League titles in the 08/09 and 10/11 seasons.
And at Bayern Munich, while he didn't lead the team to title, he did lead the Bavarians to the semi-finals in the 13/14, 14/15 and 15/16 campaigns.

With City, he reached the last 16 in 16/17, quarter-finals in 17/18, 18/19 and 19/20, and reached the final this season.
It was heartbreak for Guardiola in Porto, but he already has plans in place to try and secure the title next term.
He told BT Sport : "It's an exceptional season for us, is an honour to be here, today we are sad. We'll analyse an exceptional season for us.
"It was a tough game, we had almost the first clear chances, they missed one with (Timo) Werner and in the second half with (Christian) Pulisic. In the second half we were brilliant, we were brave.
"We couldn't convert the goals because they are so strong. So fast on the counter-attack. We didn't allow them to make the process to play.
"The players were exceptional all of them. We'll come back one day again."
And he added at the press conference: "I want to go home with my family. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them.
"After that I’ll come back to the club. It’s going to be the best club in the world for the next few years."
