Manchester City are ready to face competition from Real Madrid if they are to sign Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans - according to reports.
The 24-year-old Belgium international touched down in the Premier League - for €45million from Monaco - in time for the 2019/2020 season.
Even at that stage, Tielemans was drawing interest from elite clubs across Europe.
Fast forward 24 months and the central midfielder, who scored an FA Cup final winner for the Foxes beneath the famous Wembley arch last term, is reported to have the Premier League champions and La Liga table-toppers Real competing for his sought-after signature.
That's according to a report from Spanish publication Fichajes.
Tielemans only has 18 months left to run on his contract at the King Power Stadium - meaning any would-be move from City or the Spanish giants might come at a cut-price.
The player has made 127 appearances for Leicester and has also been capped 47 times by Belgium.
Elsewhere, injured Spain international Ferran Torres is still 'keen to sign' for Barcelona - despite their humiliation in being eliminated from the Champions League at the group stage.
The 21-year-old impressed at the start of this campaign having been thrust into a false 9 role after City missed out on signing England captain Harry Kane from Tottenham.
However, after scoring three goals in seven early-season outings, Torres broke his metatarsal the 22-cap player will not return to action until the New Year.

Barcelona have endured well-documented financial problems, too, and Champions League qualification remains a tough proposition as they find themselves eighth in the La Liga standings.
Despite those concerns, Spanish publication SPORT suggest that Torres remains interested.
The parties involved have yet to agree a fee or deal for the former Valencia man, but City are reported to have set their asking price at around the $68million mark.
