Welcome to the City Is Ours daily round-up, your daily dose of Manchester City news that you might have missed.
After their valuations looked worlds apart just a few weeks ago, it appears that City and Barcelona are close to agreeing a deal for Blues striker Ferran Torres.
The Spaniard's departure would leave City looking thin in the forward department, but Pep Guardiola knows exactly who he wants to replace him.
Meanwhile, it looks like the Premier League champions have an admirer over in Naples.
Ferran to Barcelona '90% done'
Barcelona have made no secret of the fact they want to sign Ferran, and it looks like a deal might actually be close to completion.
Speaking to Spanish football chat show El Chiringuito (via Sport Witness ), journalist Jose Alvarez Haya claimed that a deal between City and Barca is '90% done' and is at a 'very, very advanced' stage.
It is believed that Barca will pay a fee of €50m (£42.4m) for the Spanish striker, plus €5m (£4.2m) in add-ons.
Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo report that there is a growing belief that Ferran will complete his move to Camp Nou next month.
Our take: I'm not particularly keen on the thought of losing Ferran, but credit has to go to City for negotiating a fee much closer to their original valuation of the player.

I can't imagine Guardiola is relishing the prospect of losing his only striker halfway through the season, but if Ferran wants to leave then there is little point in keeping him at the club.
City in the front row
According to la Repubblica, City are in the 'front row' to sign highly sought-after striker Dusan Vlahovic from Fiorentina.
City are facing a tussle with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Arsenal for the Serbian goal machine, but the fact that Guardiola considers the 21-year-old to be the 'perfect striker' for the present and future could go some way to deciding where he'll end up should he leave Fiorentina.

Vlahovic, who is currently isolating after testing positive for Covid-19, has already scored 15 goals in 17 Serie A games this season, having scored an impressive 21 in all competitions last season.
Our take: If you were to find out that the greatest manager in the game, who has coached a few decent strikers in his time, considers you to be the 'perfect striker', then you'd be pretty flattered, wouldn't you? Perhaps this could swing things in City's favour.
From Naples with love
Guardiola might be picky with which strikers he admires, but there are plenty of goalscorers out there who love City.
One of them is Napoli captain Lorenzo Insigne, now entering the final months of his contract at his boyhood team.
Speaking to Calciomercarto about how he spends his time off the pitch, Insigne said: "I never miss a football game on TV. A team that I always like to watch is Manchester City, Guardiola's football has been unmissable since his time in Barcelona."
Our take: Insigne also said that if he was to buy a ticket for a match, it would be a Champions League final between City and Liverpool. We're not sure many City fans would agree with him on that!
Still, it's nice to be loved.
