Pep Guardiola set for Moussa Dembele headache as Man City boss to reunite with 'exceptional' Lyon striker

Big-game hunter Moussa Dembele is set to start for Lyon in his side's crunch Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City.

The Celtic icon came off the bench against Juventus in the last 16 after Rudi Garcia left his talisman in reserve until the second half.

But reports in France suggest the the £60m-rated forward is poised to return to the starting XI for the showdown with City in Lisbon.

And Dembele will come up against Pep Guardiola, who the Catalan described as an "exceptional player" before his side faced the Hoops back in 2016.

The 52-year-old is certain City will be tested to their limits against the Ligue 1 side as he waxed lyrical about their chances of causing them issues.

He said: "We are working a lot, we are preparing ourselves and we are trying to find the weak points of Lyon.

"We will have to be ourselves. I want my team to show who they are. After that, football will decide if we deserve to qualify.

"We saw the other matches against Juventus, and other matches in the French league.

"We know them well, it's a very aggressive team, very fast, with quality in the full-backs. This is a top team."

Lyon are expected to reunite Moussa Dembele and Memphis Depay together for the first time in eight months.

Expected line-up: Lopes, Marçal, Marcelo, Denayer, Cornet, Aouar, Guimarães, Caqueret, Dubois, Depay, Dembélé
