Pep Guardiola sends Man City transfer message as Liverpool watch on
Pep Guardiola has told prospective Manchester City transfer targets it is up to them if they want to sign for the club this summer.
In a 735-word statement released on Monday morning, the Premier League listed more than 100 rules they accused City of breaching. Guardiola then claimed on Friday that the other 19 clubs in the top-flight had been the driving force behind the 115 charges the Etihad club had been hit with.
Since the Premier League’s statement dropped, there has been speculation that City could be relegated if they are found guilty of a significant number of charges. But Guardiola protested the club's innocence ahead of Sunday’s game against Aston Villa at the Etihad.

But the charges could have huge implications on City in this summer’s transfer market. One player who both City and Liverpool have been linked with in recent months is Jude Bellingham.
The battle to sign the Borussia Dortmund star this summer is already set to be the most intriguing of the transfer window. As well as City and the Reds, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Chelsea have been linked with the England international.

Liverpool goal machine relishes new role in defeat at Man City
Liverpool Under-21s fell to a disappointing 3-1 defeat away at Man City on Sunday despite an encouraging first-half display.
Mateusz Musialowski cancelled out Oscar Bobb’s opener with a well-placed header midway through the first half. However, Carlos Borges’ brace, striking either side of the break, was enough to clinch victory for the hosts.
Liverpool had started brightly and created the first chance of the game as Luca Stephenson linked up with Bobby Clark in the box before playing the ball back to Musialowski, today playing as a central striker, only for the young Pole to send his first-time shot from the edge of the box over the bar.
While the young Reds’ first opening went begging, the hosts’ did not as they opened the scoring after 16 minutes. Finding space at the far post, Borges’ powerful shot was parried by goalkeeper Harvey Davies, and Bobb reacted quickest as he was gifted a simple tap-in.
However, not phased by falling behind, Liverpool fought back and ensured City’s lead would last just four minutes.
Timing his run to perfection, Musialowski connected with a Stephenson cross and left Van Sas with no chance as he guided his header into the far corner for a deserved equaliser.
