Pep Guardiola sends assured message to Liverpool ahead of Premier League final day

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has sent a message to Liverpool ahead of the final day of the Premier League season.

Both Liverpool and Manchester City go into Sunday with the ability to win the title, should results go in their favour at Anfield and Brighton respectively.

Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has instructed his players to do their part and not worry about the result they cannot influence elsewhere.

"Today is our last domestic game and probably the toughest. It is the most important game not because of what might happen but because it is next," said Klopp.

"It is the only game we can affect and the only points we can win. I really think that is the job for all of us today.

"We have to be ready for this. And by 'we' I mean everyone with a Liverpool heartbeat: players, management and supporters.

"We have to be ready to react in certain situations, ready to keep focus and keep concentration."

Guardiola on the other hand has told Liverpool the stress is on them, as he has been 'sleeping like a little boy' ever since City beat the Reds at the Etihad.

"I am so happy – no nerves at all," said Guardiola. "I was nervous before Liverpool, seven points behind, and we could have been 10 points behind.

"It was, 'Ah, it will be so difficult'. But not now, no way. I sleep like a little boy. It is a dream, a privilege, I love it."
