Pep Guardiola's former right-hand man believes the Manchester City manager could be destined to take charge of Brazil.
Domenec Torrent, the 57-year-old Spaniard who worked alongside Guardiola at Barcelona, Bayern Munich and City before taking charge of New York City for a season in 2018, has spoken of the Catalan's love for the Samba style.
Former Barca defender Dani Alves claimed Guardiola wanted to head for Rio in 2015 when he was weighing up his options after leaving Bayern.
He joined City a year later - but Torrent's words suggested that if the 49-year-old City boss decides to take on a challenge at international level, then it will be with Brazil.

Torrent said: “Pep could manage the Brazil team perfectly – and I am convinced he would improve it.
“If Pep is good at one thing, it is improving his teams.
“He is interested in any top job related to football because he also knows that without good players you can achieve nothing.
“Pep has a special feeling for Brazilian players. He has worked with Brazilians at Barcelona, Bayern and City.
“In fact, he has a preference for Brazilians because they are very versatile and can adapt to any type of football.”
Guardiola still has just over a year left on his City contract after spending the last four seasons at the Etihad.
City hope that they can convince him to sign a new deal as they look to rebuild a team that fell 25 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League after winning back-to-back titles.
Guardiola has never hidden his admiration for South American football.
His Catalan roots makes it unlikely that he will ever manage Spain, but both Brazil and Argentina have looked at him as a possible managerial candidate in the past.
Tite is currently in charge of Brazil and led them to glory at the Copa America last year, while Lionel Scaloni is Argentina boss.
