Pep Guardiola's Man City send Nottingham Forest four-word message after promotion to Premier League

Pep Guardiola's Premier League champions Manchester City have sent Nottingham Forest a message after they won promotion back to the top flight of English football.

The Reds ended their long exile from the Premier League by beating Huddersfield Town 1-0 in the Championship play-off final at Wembley on Sunday.

Forest defender Steve Cook joked the players were planning to go 'full Jack Grealish' in their promotion celebrations, after Man City's £100m man really enjoyed their Premier League title celebrations.

And as Steve Cooper and his players return to Nottingham for a promotion celebration of their own in the city today, Man City posted a message to them - as well as fellow promoted sides Fulham and Bournemouth - on Twitter.

"Congratulations to @FulhamFC, @afcbournemouth and @NFFC on being promoted to the @premierleague! See you next season!" they said.
