Pep Guardiola reveals what Marcelo Bielsa asked him after Leeds United's draw with Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has explained Marcelo Bielsa asked for his thoughts on the game seconds after the final whistle at Elland Road.

Leeds United went toe-to-toe with Manchester City in a thrilling match at Elland Road that saw the Whites come away with a point.

Raheem Sterling put City ahead after 17 minutes as Guardiola's men dominated the opening exchanges.

But Leeds grew into the half and chances for Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling were followed by a second-half equaliser from Rodrigo Moreno, his first goal for the club.

The Spaniard, who arrived as a second-half substitute, then saw a header crash against the crossbar as both sides went hell for leather to find a winner.

After what was a pulsating final half an hour at Elland Road, Guardiola and Bielsa were seen in deep discussions on the sidelines as the final whistle blew.

Guardiola told Sky Sports: “He said to me, ‘What’s your opinion about the game?’

"I said after one second, I am not able to analyse the game. I need time to process the game, but I said I think it was a good game.”

On Leeds' performance, he added: “They make a good build-up with the ‘keeper and they put a lot of players behind our midfield line.

"They attack, incredibly quick, with the quality players they’ve got, fast players outside. It is not easy to play against them.

"All of the teams they’ve played this season so far, and last season in the Championship, they’ve shown how good they are.”
