Pep Guardiola provides Man City injury update on Kevin De Bruyne and Fernandinho

Kevin De Bruyne will miss Manchester City's Premier League clash with Leicester City on Monday and might not play again this season.

The midfielder hasn't played since picking up a hamstring injury during City's 1-0 win against Tottenham two weeks ago and he will again be absent against the Foxes.

That will leave just the final day clash at Brighton and the FA Cup final against Watford for De Bruyne to make his return before the end of the campaign.

It's been an injury-hit season for the 27-year-old, who has twice missed spells with knee injuries before picking up his latest muscle problem.

When asked if De Bruyne would play again this season, Guardiola said: "I don't know, he's not available on Monday."

Guardiola is also uncertain over Fernandinho's fitness for the clash with Leicester City. The Brazilian trained with strapping on his knee on Friday and Guardiola said he was yet to speak to the medical team for an update on the 33-year-old's fitness.
