Pep Guardiola could not contain his fury as Manchester City saw a goal disallowed in their riveting Premier League encounter with Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Phil Foden thought he had given the visitors the lead at Anfield with a strike from a tight angle but referee Anthony Taylor chalked the opener off after consulting the pitchside monitor. Erling Haaland was found to have fouled Fabinho in the lead-up to the goal, with replays showing the City striker held the Brazilian's shirt before he went to the ground.
Guardiola was furious to see Taylor walk over to the touchline and his side's goal ultimately ruled out. In the wake of the incident, City alleged that coins were thrown at their manager by home supporters at Anfield. Speaking after the match, Guardiola told BBC Radio 5 Live: "They try [fans] but they [coins] didn't touch me."
During the fray, Guardiola was filmed ranting on the touchline before eventually whipping up the Liverpool fans as the incident ramped up the atmosphere at Anfield.
"Pep's going mad," Neville said on commentary for Sky Sports during Taylor's check. "Whatever happens coming out of this, I imagine it's going to be cancelled [which] will mean this atmosphere will be electric and turned-up. There's that tug on the shirt from Haaland on Fabinho there, that's why the goals going to be disallowed.
"He's been here before, it's just the tug of the shirt his right hand. I have to say he holds on for too long to pull Fabinho down. I think it's the right decision."
Adding to City's woes after Foden's strike was chalked off, Salah gave Liverpool the lead in the 76th minute after a sublime piece of skill. The Egyptian collected Alisson's pinpoint punt, shrugged off Joao Cancelo with a delightful turn and finished past Ederson with finesse to send Anfield wild.

Salah's goal atoned for his glaring miss earlier in the match, when he was through one-on-one but failed to convert, forcing a fine save from Ederson when Diogo Jota was screaming for his teammate to square the ball.
"This is special, all the talk before the game of Erling Haaland but he has just reminded us of what world class looks like," Neville said of Salah's goal. "Alisson sees that Salah is against Cancelo one-on-one and this is absolutely amazing from Salah.
"This time faced one-on-one with Alisson, he is never ever going to miss that. That first bit is mesmerising, the strength, the touch, under pressure, the finish just scoops it. What a moment that is."
