Pep Guardiola lifts lid on Jude Bellingham conversation with Borussia Dortmund manager

Pep Guardiola was left stunned by Jude Bellingham's performance against Manchester City.

Though Borussia Dortmund were eventually out-gunned by a relentless City in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final on Wednesday, Bellingham still enjoyed another star-making display.

The 17-year-old had seen a goal in the reverse fixture controversially disallowed but there was no chance anyone was taking his goal off him in Dortmund, as he riffled the ball into the top corner after fashioning a yard of space just inside the box after 15 minutes.

Bellingham's strike put Dortmund ahead on the night and they would have advanced on away goals if they were able to hold on, but City turned up the heat in the second-half, with a Riyad Mahrez penalty and a stunner from Phil Foden securing their place in the semi-finals for the first time under Guardiola.

The Blues boss was spotted deep in conversation with Dortmund manager Edin Terzic upon the final whistle and Guardiola has revealed what he told him about the 'fantastic' Bellingham.

"I cannot believe it, maybe he's a liar!" Guardiola said on Bellingham's tender age. "He's so good for 17-years-old, he's a fantastic player.

"There was one moment when he didn't get the ball from central defenders, how he shouts and demands that ball to him at 17 means a lot.

"I spoke with his manager, Edin [Terzic], and he told me what you see in these two games is like every training session."
