However, there might be one area in which the Catalan coach struggles to improve him, Maguire's mobility.
Amid all of the speculation surrounding the England international's potential move to the Etihad stadium some old quotes from Guardiola have recirculated which pinpointed an area of weakness within Maguire's playing style.
Speaking in the All or Nothing documentary Guardiola analysed the 26-year-old's style of play and highlighted his lack of pace as a key area which his side could exploit.
“You move here, Kyle (Walker) is here," Guardiola tells his City squad. "You move here and he moves back. There will be space here.
“Find that situation because the guy (Maguire) is not fast. You will find space here.”
