Sergio Aguero scored the crucial second goal the last time Manchester City played Chelsea in an FA Cup semi-final, back in 2013.
The legendary Blues striker bagged a rare header to put Roberto Mancini 's City team two goals up at Wembley, and they held on to book a place in the final despite Demba Ba's goal giving the Londoners a lifeline.
But there will be no reprise for the club's all-time leading scorer when the two clubs face off tomorrow night - Aguero is not fit enough to join the squad for the journey to London.
Pep Guardiola confirmed that Kun is City's only injury absentee for the game, but he said that the squad was "tired" after flying back from Germany on Thursday following the Champions League quarter-final win over Borussia Dortmund.
Asked if Aguero was fit for the game, Guardiola replied: "No not yet" and when pressed on the fitness of the rest of the squad said: "The rest are ok - tired, but in a good mood and OK."
Guardiola is sure to rotate his squad in some positions, with an important league game against Aston Villa next Wednesday followed by a Carabao Cup final with Tottenham on Sunday, and then the Champions League semi-final first leg at Paris St Germain three days later.
Guardiola will have to plot a careful course to avoid over-using key players - he has consistently played Kevin De Bruyne in the past but the Belgium star was rested last week against Leeds.
Guardiola admitted that the midfielder, who last week signed a new contract aimed at keeping him at City for the rest of his career, is in the kind of form that makes it hard to leave him out.
"He’s arriving in a good feeling," he said. "Against Leicester after the international break he was outstanding and after that game he didn’t play against Leeds, so everyone (was) involved.
"Dortmund he was good. In the last six weeks, he’s arriving in the best condition physically and mentally. Signing the contract was good for everyone, for him, the family. Hopefully he can continue at this level."
