Pep Guardiola gives Man City team news for FA Cup tie at Swansea

Pep Guardiola has no fresh injury concerns ahead of Manchester City's FA Cup tie at Swansea.

Sergio Aguero played some part in a training session on Monday for the first time in a month after his recent Covid-related absences but is still not close enough to a return for the manager to be able to give a date on when he might be back with the first team.

However, there were no issues caused by the 4-1 win over Liverpool on Sunday and providing Tuesday's training session does not throw up any problems it will be another strong squad that travels to the Liberty Stadium to take on Swansea.

Guardiola did hint that some academy players could be involved though. Tommy Doyle and Taylor Harwood-Bellis started in the last round at Cheltenham and a number of youngsters are regularly training with the first team squad.

"We will travel with the team who is fit, we have three or four injured players and will call some players from the second team," said the manager.

On Aguero, he added: "Yesterday he trained minutes with the group and after he trained alone. Day by day he is feeling better."
