Pep Guardiola gives Man City team news ahead of Tottenham Hotspur fixture

Oleksandr Zinchenko has returned to training ahead of Manchester City's Premier League clash ahead of Tottenham.

City are looking to bounce back from their defeat against Mauricio Pochettino's side in the Champions League on Wednesday night as they welcome Spurs back to the Etihad in the league on Saturday lunchtime.

Guardiola said left-back Zincehnko, who came off injured in the home game against Cardiff, has returned to training but gave no indication as to whether or not he will be involved at the weekend.

"He had part of the training yesterday," Guardiola said about the defender.

"We’ll see today how people recover, mentally and physically then we’ll take a decision tonight as we play early. We’ll see in terms of selection."

City have five games left in the league and Guardiola is hoping the hurt from Wednesday night's elimination can push City on to succeed.

"If you believe it doesn’t hurt, or forget it, I’d say no," he said. "I want to see my players know what they did on Wednesday. It will take time, we have to live with that feeling.

"What we lived last weds it was incredible, we were lucky to live it. More than 55,000 people happy then devastated in a second.

"There is not an activity in this world you can put in these limits. It will remain in our hearts because in the future the performance we did was incredible at this level. That’s what it is. I don’t want to see them saying it doesn't matter, more that we were close. Now a game at 12.30 here."
