Pep Guardiola gives Kevin De Bruyne injury update ahead of Man City games against Tottenham and PSG

Kevin De Bruyne and Sergio Aguero both have a chance of returning for Manchester City in Sunday's Carabao Cup final.

The two Blues stars returned to training on Friday after injury, and that means midfielder De Bruyne is almost certain to be fit to face Spurs at Wembley.

The Belgium international limped off with a foot and ankle problem as the Blues were beaten by Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend, leading to fears that he could miss crucial games in the season - with the Champions League semi-final first leg against Paris Saint-Germain looming next Wednesday.

He missed the midweek win at Aston Villa but afterwards Guardiola said he was feeling better, striking a hopeful note, and De Bruyne trained at the CFA two days before the game.

Aguero's situation is more complicated, as he has been out for two weeks with an injury niggle.

He also returned to full training, but a decision on his fitness will not be taken until after the final training session tomorrow.

Guardiola, when asked about the two players, said: "Both trained today."

And when asked whether there is any prospect of Aguero making a final fairytale appearance at Wembley after a decade of brilliance for the Blues he replied: "Today was the first training session in the last two weeks.

"Tomorrow is the last training session and we are going to decide."
