Pep Guardiola has admitted that some of his players are 'exhausted' amid Manchester City's hectic schedule.
City return to Premier League action on Saturday as they face Crystal Palace in a game which could see them put one hand on the Premier League trophy.
Should the Blues claim all three points and then Manchester United lose to Liverpool on Sunday, then they will be crowned champions.
Despite the importance of the game at Selhurst Park, Guardiola has made eight changes to the team that defeated Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final on Wednesday.
City have never been as close to a Champions League final before and with the second leg coming up in just another three days time on Tuesday, it's clear where Guardiola's priorities lie.
The manager has admitted that the run of games is taking its toll on his players.
"We have done like we have done the last two, three months, everybody has tried to be involved and play and of course we played just three days ago in Paris," he told BT Sport.
"The travel, some players are tired, exhausted and then some players are fresh with a lot of confidence because all of them are good players."
Guardiola has brought Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Ferran Torres into the side in what appears to be a change of shape to a 4-4-2.
When quizzed upon his side's set-up, Guardiola said: "When we talk about tactics, we have to talk about the quality of the players.
"Players have other skills and other talents than others. We have to adapt the way we play, always to the quality of the players that are there. The rest is theories.
"What is important is the quality of the players. Put the players in the right positions where they feel comfortable to express their quality."
Guardiola is not expecting an easy game against Palace, however.
"Every game was tough. This season, we won but previous season we lost and we draw," he added.
"They have an experienced manager with a lot of personality. Every player knows what they have to do. We need two games to be champions. Winning today would be a good step forward."
