Pep Guardiola delivers injury update on Fernandinho, Aguero and Sterling ahead of Spurs clash

Manchester City have an almost clean bill of health as they host Tottenham in a crucial Champions League quarter-final second leg at the Etihad on Wednesday night.

Tottenham hold a slender 1-0 advantage heading to the Etihad for the second leg, handed to them by a Son Heung-min strike late in the game at the New Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week.

And if Spurs are to reach the Champions League semi-finals for the first time, they will have to do so against an almost full-strength City side.

City boss Pep Guardiola has been talking to the media ahead of tomorrow night's match and he delivered an update on the fitness of some of his key men.

The stats that show Arsenal and Liverpool should be concerned by a Man City transfer approach

Fernandinho was one of the big injury concerns for the City boss heading into the second leg, as the midfielder missed the game with Crystal Palace at the weekend, after picking up a knock in the first leg in N17.

And there are question marks over whether or not he will be fit enough to start against Spurs, although Guardiola confirmed that he had returned to training "with low intensity".

Raheem Sterling were also injury concerns, but Guardiola confirmed they were both fit to start the contest.

On Aguero, the City manager said: "Sergio Aguero needs competition and needs a little time to get to his best condition. Tomorrow is not about physical condition. We want to get to semi-final, that is the challenge."

The only player who will miss the game is Oleksandr Zinchenko.
