Pep Guardiola celebrates Man City Premier League title win at Juan Mata's restaurant

Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City coaching staff celebrated retaining the Premier League trophy with a meal in Manchester city centre on Wednesday night.

The Blues boss was in attendance at Tapeo and Wine, the Spanish restaurant on Deansgate that is owned by the family of the Manchester United midfielder, Juan Mata.

Guardiola was pictured leaving the event shortly before midnight as preparations continue for City's FA Cup final against Watford on Saturday.

With the league title and the Carabao Cup already safely in the trophy cabinet, the Blues will become the first team in English football to win a domestic treble of trophies with victory against Watford.

City's 4-1 win against Brighton on Sunday secured the club's sixth league title after fighting off competition from Liverpool, who finished second on 97 points.

Liverpool's tally was the third highest points total in the history of the first division, as City overpowered Jurgen Klopp's side with an astonishing 198 points over two seasons.

It confirmed the eighth league title of Guardiola's managerial career, and the Catalan said City's latest triumph was the most taxing of them all.

"I’ve won in Spain and Germany but that is the toughest one with the rival we’ve had to face all season," he said. "We’re so, so tired — but  winning is also so addictive.

"And on Saturday we have the FA Cup final and we’re ready to compete.

"No team in England has done the Treble before.

"We have the chance. We have to be focused against Watford."
