Peoples Ford apprentice wins top award

SCOTS teenager Logan Woodhouse has been named Ford GB’s Apprentice Technician of the Year.

The 19-year-old Peoples Ford worker, from Edinburgh, beat off competition from more than 550 technicians across the UK to win the accolade at the 2019 Henry Ford Aftersales Awards.

Six selected finalists had to carry out a difficult practical test at the Henry Ford Academy in Daventry, Northamptonshire, with Logan going on to claim victory.

A delighted Logan, who was supported by family and colleagues from Peoples Ford, said: “It’s such a great feeling to be recognised for all of the hard work I’ve put in.”

Peoples Ford group strategy and operations director Nicola Gilda added: “It’s a wonderful achievement but not completely unexpected.

“Logan has been a joy to have in our Edinburgh aftersales division and has an incredibly bright future in the motor trade.”
