People who live in Glasgow city centre asked how they would improve it over next decade

Residents and organisations based in Glasgow city centre are being asked for their views on how they would improve it over the next decade.

Glasgow City Council are seeking to gather responses from local residents and organisations in the four north-east districts of the city centre (Cowcaddens, the ‘Learning Quarter’, the Merchant City and Townhead) to help shape the regeneration of these areas.

Similar consultations with locals have already been held in five other city centre districts of Blythswood & Central, Sauchiehall & Garnethill, Broomielaw and St Enoch.

The council are hosting virtual events on March 18 (Townhead) and March 24 (Cowcaddens) with the Merchant City and 'Learning Quarter' events to follow next month.

They will see several workshops and events take place over the course of the day, so those interested can join all of the events or whichever ones they are most interested in.

As always, the focus is on finding out what the local community’s priorities are and discussing how these can be incorporated into the frameworks that will guide future development and regeneration in these parts of the city centre.

To take part in the first of these (the Townhead events), please go to Eventbrite HERE.
