People are being warned to keep their cars locked and vehicles secured after two men were spotted acting "suspiciously" on a Merseyside street.
On Tuesday, August 2, police community support officers (PCSOs) delivered letters to residents following on from reports over the weekend regarding two males "acting suspiciously around vehicles" on Belvedere Road, Newton-Le-Willows
Merseyside Police are now reminding residents to lock and secure vehicles, check that windows and sunroofs are closed and to take all valuables with them.

Residents in the area were also warned of the methods criminals could use to access their vehicles and what they can do to deter them.
St Helens Police posted a list of reminders to residents on their Facebook page and urged residents to report any suspicious activity.
On the St Helens Police Facebook page, the post reads: "Today PCSO's have delivered letters to residents following on from reports over the weekend regarding 2 males acting suspiciously around vehicles on Belvedere Road, Newton-Le-Willows.
"This is a polite reminder for residents to:
1) Never leave your vehicle unattended with the engine running. Not only is this an offence on the main road, but offenders watch and wait for an opportunity.
2) Always lock and secure your vehicle. Check that the windows and sunroof are closed.
3) Never leave anything on display in your vehicle. Mobile phones, coats, bags, sat navs and CDs are all potential targets for thieves. Take all valuables with you.
4) Never leave house or car keys on view near a door or window.
5) Criminals can hook keys through open windows and letterboxes. Consider using a signal blocker pouch for your keys to prevent a signal interference devise being used to gain entry to your vehicle. Please get in touch with your local PCSO's if you would like a signal blocker pouch and we can arrange getting this to you.
6) Park in well-lit areas and consider where you are parking in the daytime if your vehicle will be there until after dark. The area may look rather different during the hours of darkness. Parking in the furthest part of the car park away from other cars could make you and your car more vulnerable.
"Please report any suspicious activity via 101.
