People warned 'not to approach' man who's gone 'AWOL' from hospital

People have been warned 'not to approach' a man who has gone 'AWOL' from hospital.

Merseyside Police are trying to trace wanted man 38-year-old man Brett Ireson who has gone missing.

Brett is originally from Gloucester and is currently wanted after going 'AWOL' from hospital in Wales on Thursday, October 7.

He is believed to be in the Merseyside area.

Police have urged members of the public not to approach the man but instead call 999 with any sightings.

The 38-year-old is described as being 5ft 11in, of large build, with receding brown shaved hair.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We are appealing for help in tracing a wanted man.

"Brett Ireson, 38, who is originally from Gloucester, is currently wanted after going AWOL from a hospital in Wales on October 7.

"He is currently believed to be in the Merseyside area.

"He is described as being 5ft 11in, of large build, with receding brown shaved hair.

"Members of the public are advised not to approach him but to call 999 with any sightings."
