Paul Robinson has hailed Liverpool’s 'brilliant' Diogo Jota after a sensational run of form for the Reds.
The Portugal star followed up his goal in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham, with another strike as well as the winning penalty in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup quarter final victory over Leicester City.
Jota has scored 10 goals and notched a further two assists in 22 appearances this season, and has arguably replaced Roberto Firmino in Liverpool’s first choice front three alongside Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.

The 24-year-old will be even more vital to the Reds in the next few weeks when Salah and Mane leave for the African Cup of Nations in January.
Former England goalkeeper Robinson praised Jota’s recent performances, and also the confidence he showed in making the switch from Wolves when it seemed highly unlikely he would establish himself in Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up.
“I’m impressed every time I watch him," Robinson told Football Insider .
“There was always a lot of talk about who could break that front three and a lot of people thought nobody could.
"Jota has done the seemingly impossible.
“The club definitely did their due diligence on him because his attitude on and off the field is exemplary. He fits into that team perfectly.
“His movement on and off the ball is quite brilliant and he always looks like he is going to score. What a signing he’s proved to be.”
Jota joined the Reds from Wolves in a £41m deal in the summer of last year and boasts an impressive goal record of 25 goals in 52 games since arriving at Anfield.
