Sreejita De has been having a tough time lately. That’s mainly because people assumed that she has secretly tied the knot with her fiancé Michael Blohm-Pape and shifted to Germany. “That’s totally absurd,” Sreejita says. “Just because I said I would eventually shift to Germany, everyone is assuming that I’ve already moved out of India. Let me set the record straight. Neither have I tied the knot, nor have I moved to Germany yet,” she clarifies.
The actress got engaged to her long-time beau Michael Blohm-Pape in December 2021. They were set to wed soon after, but the increase in the number of COVID cases all over the world stalled their plans. With both Sreejita and Michael wanting their families and near and dear ones in attendance when they wed, they decided to postpone their big day.
Talking about it, Sreejita says, “I am very excited to begin this new chapter in my personal life. But that doesn’t mean I have quit acting. I want to put in a few more years of work before I shift base to Germany. There are a lot of genres out there that I haven’t yet explored, which is my aim now. There are so many options now when it comes to content and I want to experiment with it all. God willing, I’ll continue to act and dabble in both the Indian and international acting industries.”
