People say Celebrations advent calendar has made 2020 'even worse'

Celebrations has been slammed by shoppers who bought its advent calendar this year with some even calling the company "rude".

It follows a huge social media storm as many people found a Bounty behind three consecutive doors of the 2020 advent calendar.

Users on Twitter have vowed to cancel Christmas altogether if they find one more bounty behind a door.

One user said: "If my celebrations advent calendar gives me another bounty I’m cancelling Christmas. 3 days in a row you sick people."

Another said: "Biggest scam of the year is the celebrations advent calendar being a bounty 3 DAYS IN A ROW"

A third tweeted: "@Celebrations advent calendar first 3 bounty sweets not a 6 year olds favourite. Grandaughter says that it’s rude to do that. Advent calendars shouldn’t disappoint."

And a fourth said: "3 bounty’s in a row on my celebrations advent calendar, just when I thought this year couldn’t get any worse".

In response to the Bounty rage, the team at Celebrations has taken to the brand's official Twitter account to share a series of memes, joking about how annoyed everyone has been over the Bountys.

Replying to one user who described the fall out as "bounty gate", Celebrations' team sent a picture reading 'fact' out of Bountys.

Other tweets included an image of man sleeping hugging a Bounty and said: "Us sleeping knowing we've spread the #BountyLove".

Although its jokes don't seem to have gone down too well, with one response reading: "thanks a lot- I have a very upset child, I’ve had to open the b*****y thing for her to get a chocolate she likes- 2020 has been s**t- and now you try to ruin this special time as well. I’ll never buy celebrations again"
