People's 'minds blown' after learning what the speed camera symbol actually shows

Motorists across the country have been surprised by what the speed camera sign actually shows. A viral tweet reveling the truth has gone on to cause a storm on social media, with the original poster issuing an apology afterward.

According to the Mirror, people's minds were blown so much that the poster tweeted "Wow I'm so sorry to have caused so much distress and discomfort." It turns out that a huge swathe of the UK was under the impression that the sign showed a Victorian bellows camera pointing to the right.

This would be a mistake, however. The tweet read: "For years I thought the UK speed camera sign depicted a Victorian bellows camera pointing to the right, but it’s just a boring CCTV camera pointing towards the viewer."

He then continued: "(I accept that it's not CCTV cos that's literally different technology, but w/e the stuff on the right is definitely an arm attachment and not old-timey bellows!)"

Once the tweets had been sent, drivers were sent into a frenzy as they had no idea, with some even saying their life had been a lie. "I'm distressed and discomforted", one wrote.

"What is even reality?", asked another, with someone else saying: "You sicken me." Many commented with mind-blown emojis, and shocked faces at the revelation.

"Why did you have to do this?", a Twitter user fumed. Other people shared that they were going to ignore the tweet and keep believing the Victorian camera theory.
