People rushed to hospital after car crashes into front garden

A car crashed into a front garden in a quiet seaside town last night (June 21).

Photos shared by Burnham-on-Sea Fire Station show a white car upside down in a front garden in Brean, Somerset.

Emergency services were called to Coast Road in Brean to reports of a car on fire.

Somerset Live reports the fire service arrived to find a badly damaged car on its roof.

The dramatic photos appear to show the white vehicle upside down, having crashed through a fence into a front garden.

The occupants are believed to have freed themselves from the wreckage, without requiring rescue by emergency services.

The casualties were then treated at the scene before being transferred to hospital.

In a post on Facebook this morning, Burnham-on-Sea Fire Station said: “Crews were mobilised yesterday evening (Friday 21st June) to a reported car fire at Coast Road, in Brean.

“Once in attendance it was clear that this was a single vehicle RTC and all persons were clear and free from the vehicle.

“Crews worked alongside police and paramedics rendering first aid to the casualties which were taken to hospital via land ambulance.

“After making the scene and vehicle safe we returned to home station.”
