People living in the UK: how have you been affected by the Covid surge in India?

India recorded another global record of daily Covid cases as 360,960 people tested positive in the 24 hours to Wednesday morning. The health ministry also said the country’s total number of fatalities had passed 200,000.

We would like to hear from people in the UK or who have family in India about the situation and also from those who are part of the diaspora elsewhere around the world. We would also like to hear from people who are trying to help those affected.
