Some people may already have that Christmas feeling as new data gathered by a leading luxury artificial Christmas tree and décor brand has found that people in the UK have already started to buy Christmas products.
With shops such as Brown Thomas already opening their Christmas departments this Christmas looks set to be bigger and better than ever.
And it seems like people in the UK are rushing to prepare for Christmas unexpectedly early this year as they are eager to wave goodbye to a washout summer.
The figures released on Thursday have shown a huge 60% increase in sales of Christmas trees and decorations in August compared to last year- including a 69% increase in sales of artificial Christmas trees alone.
Luxury brand, Balsam Hill, has shown that the UK is getting invested in the festive season unseasonably early with a surge in sales of trees and decorations in the midst of a wet and gloomy UK summer.
Balsam Hill’s recent sales data has revealed not only a jump in UK sales, but an increase in visitors of 145% to its site in August compared to last year.
Google data has also shown a 49% increase in searches for Christmas trees in the last week alone, suggesting that for 2021, Christmas may be bigger than ever after last year’s lockdown celebrations.
