People 'heartbroken' after mum asks for help to edit stepson out of family photo

A parent has left others feeling 'genuinely sad' for a boy who they said would notice he was being pushed away after a mum asked for help to edit him out of family photos.

Taking to Facebook , the mum shared three photos of her family, including two in which she's sat on a blanket with three children.

Two of the little ones are sat on her lap as she puts her arm around them for support, while a boy is sat alone on the right of the photo, with a noticeable gap between him and the rest of his family.

She wrote on Facebook: "Is there anyway ya'll could remove the kid to the right in these pictures?

"He's my stepson and I love these pictures of us together but I also didn't get any good ones with just two without him.

"Also remove him from the full family pictures please. Thanks in advance."

The mum asked for him to be removed from all the photos (Reddit)

The post was later edited to add: "I do love my stepson but I do want some without him in them.

"I already posted these ones but I just want to have it both ways."

After the post was shared on Reddit under the heading 'mother of the year', it's had more than 2,000 comments, with many sharing their despair for the little boy.

One replied: "The foot gap between him and the rest of his family looks like it would have pretty much told him how she feels about him."

A second wrote: "It looks like she posed just to make it easier to remove him from the pictures too.

"I don't want her near children in general if she treats a child like this."

A third added: "Seriously this is heartbreaking."

Another said: "This genuinely made me sad. Imagine how that child felt. I bet he noticed he wasn’t included like the other two."
