People have spoken about being "gutted" after learning their local Frankie and Benny's is closing for good.
Regulars signed up to a mailing list for the Bromborough branch of the chain restaurant have taken to social media after receiving an email confirming the permanent closure of the branch
One person, posting in a private Facebook group said: "Feel very gutted that Frankie & Benny's has closed in Bromborough.

"The staff were always so lovely."
They added: "End of an era, very sad, hope the staff are all Ok x"
They shared a screenshot of an email they say they received, which states: "Unfortunately, due to the continued pressures of COVID-19 it is no longer viable to keep our branch open.
"Our restaurant in Bromborough is now permanently closed.
"We would like to thank you all for your support over the past year and a bit and we hope you'll be able to visit another Frankie's restaurant sometime soon.
"Arrivederci and thank you."
The restaurant is now listed as permanently closed on its Facebook page and the ECHO were unable to contact the branch by phone.
Frankie and Benny's have been approached for comment.
