People are scratching their heads over an optical illusion where you can see a silhouette of man taking a picture of a sunset – because they can't agree on which way he's facing.
An optical illusion is something that tricks your eyes into seeing something differently from what they really are – and this picture is no different.
The image, which was posted to Reddit, shows the silhouette of a man holding up a camera as if he's taking a picture of the sunset – but people can't decide whether he's facing the front or away.
It appears the photo has baffled Redditors and has really split opinions, with some able to see both options.
One person wrote: "Wow, this is a really good one. I can swap it back and forth and still can't really decide which is correct."
Another added: "Wow this is cool, flipping it over you can only see one direction."
"He's actually facing both ways at the same time," joked a third.
Some people have attempted to use "logic" to come up with the answer – with some saying he's likely facing the same way as the rest of the crowd.
One person suggested: "My best guess is he's facing the same direction as the crowd but that could be wrong. I don't care - let's enjoy the sunset."
Most people agreed that he is facing away.
Another said the clue lay in the man's cheekbones, explaining: "I saw towards first but once I saw away I can't unsee it. The cheekbones gave it away."
A second agreed that the man was facing away, saying: "Definitely away. It’s slightly more obvious only looking at him, but you need only see the other people to surmise that's he's obviously looking at the same thing they are, and they are facing away."
A third added: "If he's facing the toward the camera, what object is he taking a picture? If it's the sunset, his face would be visible as the light shines on it. Therefore it's his back we see."
Which direction do you think he's facing? Let us know in the comment section below.
