Lucknow: Samajwadi Party president and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav slammed the government over the death of Hathras gangrape victim on Thursday.
हाथरस की मृतका के परिजनों को शासन के मूक आदेश पर प्रशासन ने दौड़ा-दौड़ाकर मारा है. अब जनता भी ऐसे ही इन सत्ताधारियों को दौड़ा-दौड़ाकर इंसाफ़ की चौखट तक खींच के ले जाएगी.

"Hathras victim's family severally beaten on the order of the government. Now the people will ensure the government is brought to justice. People are seeing the way BJP's misrule is revealing its true colours. The wicked will be unveiled soon," Yadav's tweet read (roughly translated from Hindi).
हाथरस में भाजपा सरकार सत्ता पक्ष के नेताओं के लिए कोई पाबंदी नहीं लगा रही है लेकिन जनता और विपक्ष को धारा 144 के नाम से बाधित कर रही है. मृतका के गाँव-क्षेत्र में सपा के नेता व कार्यकर्ता दो दिनों से अघोषित बंदी बना के रखे गये है.

The 19-year-old victim died in Safdarjung Hospital on Tuesday. She was brought to the hospital on Monday from Aligarh Muslim University Medical College.
An official had earlier said that the last rites were performed at the victim's native place in the wee hours of Wednesday. All the four accused involved in the incident have been arrested. (ANI)
