While most of us have jobs and responsibilities that keep us from lounging around at home with our pets all day, it seems there might be a way we can make this dream a reality.
Well, a virtual reality anyway...
A cute new mobile game called Adorable Home has gone viral on social media and it essentially lets you spend all day at home, decorating your house, cooking and taking care of your cat.
The free game, made by HyperBeard, is very simple. The premise is that you and your partner (you can customise this character to suit your preferred gender/name) have just moved into a new home in the suburbs, along with your adorable cat called Snow (this name is non-negotiable).
Your partner goes off to work each day, while you stay behind and run the show.
The better job you do at looking after things in the home, the more love you receive from your partner and the cat - and it's love that you need to buy things in the game, like furniture and, well, more cats.
Sounds pretty straightforward, right? That's because it's supposed to. The description in the app store says the game is meant to be a "passive and relaxing experience" for players.
And you don't even need to worry about spending lots of time trying to earn "love" in the game, as it's recommended you just check back in with it every few hours to see something new instead of playing it 24/7.
Adorable Home is available on both iOS and Android.
The manufacturers say it's not intended for children, and "may have some content that is inappropriate for children under the age of 13".
A number of people who played the game gave it five stars online, with one person saying: "The game is indeed adorable, and cute and is very relaxing."
Someone else wrote: "I’ve played this for like days, and the graphics and almost everything inside this game is so adorable!"
A third added: "This game is excellent when you want to relax and it is the cutest ever, especially the pets. I also like how cozy the home is and it’s really nice when you can design it however you like."
A fourth person said: "I am a cat person. I really love cats. This game is perfect for me because I live in an apartment where I can’t bring pets. The game fits me because I am in college, and I have a lot of things to do, and this game doesn’t require maintenance. It’s very therapeutic for me and relaxing."
